The 1990 Ford Mustang “Bruce Jenner” and “Rambo” design concepts were meant to help the Blue Oval develop the fourth-generation SN95 Mustang. Both concepts featured a return to traditional Mustang cues like the galloping pony in the grille, and the tri-bar taillights. The Bruce Jenner Mustang was the softer-looking of the two concepts, and was deemed not aggressive enough to be a Mustang. The Mustang Rambo on the other hand was said to be too extreme. Ultimately visual cues from both would be combined, resulting in the fourth-generation Ford Mustang.
